FAQ & Policies

Art Studio Policies

Kindness & Respect

Our goal is to foster a positive learning environment filled with creativity and camaraderie for both our students and parents. You and your child agree to treat all participants of Under The Moon’s art programs with kindness and respect.

Safety First

The safety of your child and other children is our top priority. You acknowledge that your child has no physical, emotional, or social conditions that make it dangerous or unwise for your child to safely participate in our art programs. Running in the art studio is dangerous for both your child and others around them so your child agrees not to run when participating in Under The Moon art programs.

Permission to Share

We love promoting the art we are making and sharing it with others. We may take photographs, video and/or audio (the “Media”) during our art classes to post on our social media. We are the sole owner of any Media and may use the Media in any way, in our sole discretion. You grant us permission to use your child’s image without any restriction and waive your right to inspect or approve the Media.

Permission to Particpate

You give your permission for your child to participate in Under The Moon Art Studio's programs. You release and hold Under The Moon Creative Art Studio harmless from any and all liability that may arise in connection with the studio's art programs.

Drop Off & Pick Up

Under The Moon does not offer before or aftercare. Any artists that are not picked up on time from a class or workshop is subject to a late fee of $1 per minute. NO EXCEPTIONS

Illness Policy

If your child is sick, please do not send them to class. Similarly, if a child shows up for class with symptoms of illness (e.g. runny nose, cold or flu symptoms), or says they are or were not feeling well
recently, your teacher will ask the Host to contact the child's adult to pick them up.

Classes

Do I need previous experience?

No experience is necessary! All you need is the willingness to explore & have fun!!!

What supplies or equipment do  I need?

All supplies and equipment are included - but we recommend clothes that might be stained or made dirty while creating art!

What should I wear?

Anything you might not mind getting paint on (that may not come out)

Can I take my art home?

Yes! All work is make & take!

Are your Classes going to be online as well? Classes will not be held online at this time

How is your schedule structured?

We offer Weekly Classes during the school year, Mini Camps on school breaks, and Art Parties on the weekends. Workshops & pop up classes will be offered on a rolling basis as well!

What ages do you teach?

Our Weekly Classes and Mini Camps are designed for all ages. Make sure to check age levels for classes. Our Parties are for ages 5 and up!

Do you have a waiting list?

Yes, we do. Add your information in our WAITING LIST and we will let you know as soon as a spot opens.

Art Parties

How are your parties structured?

Our parties last 90 -120 minutes. We make art for the first part of the session, with all materials provided by us and included in the fee. The last 15 part of the party are dedicated to simple treats you bring, photos, and singing HBD.

What are your party themes?

We offer a wide range of creative, hands-on party themes so you can choose the perfect fit for your child and friends.

Can we bring food?

Absolutely! You’re welcome to bring treats to share as well as plates, napkins, etc.. We can also provide a cake or cupcakes by request for an extra fee! Time and space are limited so we recommend something simple like cupcakes, cookies or donuts, and small drinks.

What else should we bring?

Bring goody bags if you’d like, or let the art be the take home gift. Decorations are optional but not really necessary- the studio already looks pretty festive! (See the video tour below.)

What dates are available? How do we book?

Ready to book? Great! Our convenient booking process is done online. Click a yellow button to fill out a form so we can discuss availability. Once we’ve settled on a theme and date, we’ll email you a payment request. Paying that fee officially books your party and covers your first 8 artists. We’ll email you a few days before the party for an estimated headcount. Any artists beyond 8 can be paid for after the party is over.
